Dear brothers and sisters:
Thank you for your prayer support. In the season of Christmas, I am thankful for the birth of Jesus to bring eternal hope to all people. I also thanked the Holy Spirit for clearly guiding new ministries and providing timely needs. Thank God for His grace. I heard His words guide me to move forward:
Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. (Matthew 6:31-33, ESV).
God’s words lead me to find the direction of a new ministry. New ministry must have a kingdom vision. Through the new children’s ministry and couples growth class, we can bring people back to the family of God and restore the glorious image of the family created by God. God also provided timely provision. When I didn’t know how to apply for an entity, a couple who were accountants volunteered to help me set up a ministry entity. When I was looking for a meeting place, the senior pastor and elders of Graceway Church were willing to provide their facility for the new ministry. When I needed a Board of Directors, an older couple was willing to step forward as a board member. As I searched for successful methods to make disciples, a well-respected pastor offered to serve as a volunteer consulting pastor. When I needed new ministry members, my husband, and two teenage sons were willing to serve with me in the new ministry.
The name of the new ministry is Family of Grace (FOG), a ministry with an unknown future. At first, there was no manpower, no money, no venue, but only the vision of a framework for the next-generation ministry that God placed in my heart in 2015. On 11/30/2024, there was heavy fog in the city where I live. From early morning to evening, this persistent fog reminds me of the English abbreviation of the Family of Grace, which means fog. On 12/1/2024, the Sunday morning was still foggy. After Mandarin worship, the six founding board members of the Family of Grace gathered together to pray. The Holy Spirit greatly moved us. We clearly knew that the future ahead was difficult, but we were willing to obey God's calling. On 12/7/2024, the heavy fog came up again early Saturday morning, which reminded me that I had asked God to give me a clear sign. During my worship at Tracy that day, the Holy Spirit greatly compelled me to submit my resignation letter. I didn’t fully understand why it was on December 7th, but I obeyed the guidance of the Holy Spirit and sent my resignation letter in the evening. On 12/10/2024, six board members of the Family of Grace and six elders of Graceway Church prayed together. The 12 church leaders who had never met before were united in the Lord Jesus Christ and united in the vision of the next generation's ministry. We cried out to God for revealing His will to us, and we were willing to obey it.
I sincerely invite you to pray for the Family of God’s Grace:
May the ministry follow God’s will and become a gospel center for the families of American-born Chinese, overseas-born Chinese, and Mixed Chinese.
May the grace and love of Christ touch our families and our children, our children’s children.
May the Holy Spirit renew our spirits so we can be bold to build up for the Lord. Be joyful to create the new ministry.
May the work in our hands be acceptable to God, reveal the beauty of Christ, and reveal the power of the Holy Spirit.
Pray that the transitions of Mandarin, family, and children’s ministries at the Crosspoint Church can go smoothly and peacefully.
Pray that the vision sharing next February will outreach to unbeliever families, reach the fundraising goal, and bring praise and glory to God.
